Executives often find themselves, either at the beginning of researching a subject/issue or in the final stages of making an important recommendation, wishing they had at least one more person, an independent 3rd party who has prior experience with that particular subject/issue, whom they could ask:
- "Am I thinking about this subject/issue in the right way?"
- "What other factors should I be considering?"
- "What would you do if you were me?"
The Executive Resource Management System provides a means for getting the answers to these questions. Primarily through its "An Outside Perspective" forum, Executives can query each other on a variety of subjects. Executives post real issues and responding Executives within the community communicate their experienced insights and perspectives on those issues.
ERMS is intended to be a resource for the executives of all types of companies regardless of size and complexity. Executives can observe the trend in the types of responses they receive, they can triangulate around a particular recommendation, and can ask individual respondents for more details. "Caveat Emptor" still applies so it's expected (and recommended) that Executives exercise good judgement before acting upon insights from the community.
Some of our content may come from partners who, either we have compensated or have compensated us, for the presentation of their material to the community. We'll make a declarative statement when content appears on the site that falls into either of these categories. We engage in these partnerships when we believe the material provided will be truly informative to the executive community.
For high performing and conscientious Executives who want to develop the best recommendations possible for their companies, ERMS is just one tool they can use to formulate those recommendations.
